Alastair McAlpine assumes the role of general manager at the upcoming Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, slated to open in August 2024.

Bringing over 30 years of luxury hospitality experience, McAlpine's tenure spans iconic Four Seasons destinations, including Hawaii's Lanai island.

The Osaka property, spanning ten floors of the One Dojima Project, will have 175 curated accommodations, featuring panoramic views, a Japanese-style floor with tatami rooms, and an array of dining venues. Notable among these are Sushi O, Jiang-Nan Chun, and Bar BOTA.

Leveraging his extensive experience in the F&B industry, McAlpine will also oversee the launch of six establishments, among them Sushi O; Chinese eatery Jiang-Nan Chun; Bar BOTA; all-day French bistro Jardine; CHA, a relaxing tea lounge; and FARINE, a bakery.

Originally hailing from Northern Ireland and a graduate of Scotland's Strathclyde University, McAlpine's journey traverses various leadership roles across international Four Seasons locations. His return to Japan after 23 years signifies a heartfelt reunion, and the industry veteran is eager to infuse the Four Seasons allure into Osaka's burgeoning market.
