Barbara Muckermann has departed Royal Caribbean Group after 14 years with Silversea to pursue other opportunities, passing the baton to Bert Hernandez, who will succeed her as the luxury cruise line’s president.

“Barbara has helped position Silversea as the world’s top ultra-luxury and expedition cruise line.”

Hernandez has been with Royal Caribbean Group for 20 years, most recently serving as senior vice president, international. He also served as president of China operations for Royal Caribbean International and as chief operating officer for the group’s former luxury cruise line, Azamara, while it was part of the Royal Caribbean family of brands.
