Get ready for a Thailand to make a big splash with the Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024, extending from 11-15 April along Bangkok's Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue and at Sanam Luang.

Organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, alongside the Ministry of Culture and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), this extravaganza aims to be among the top 10 global events.

Expect a spectacle of culture and tradition as the event showcases Songkran parades and celebrations, highlighting Thailand's rich heritage. With over 20 grand processions and 1,000 performers, including renowned First Nations artists, the Maha Songkran Parade will be the event's focal point.

Various provinces will display unique Songkran traditions, with a special focus on Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Chon Buri, Samut Prakan, and Nakhon Si Thammarat. The festival will also feature cultural performances, regional showcases, and traditional rituals, providing an immersive experience for visitors.

Furthermore, efforts towards environmental sustainability will be highlighted through plastic waste management initiatives, reinforcing Thailand's commitment to responsible tourism.

TAT anticipates a significant economic boost from the festival, with an expected increase in tourism revenue compared to previous years. With its blend of tradition, culture, and entertainment, the Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024 promises to be a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike.
