The upcoming 23rd World Gourmet Festival is returning to Bangkok's
Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel from 19 to 24 September 2023, featuring a
prominent lineup of twelve accomplished chefs from various international
locations.
The festival will spotlight the culinary expertise of chefs from
Spain, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Bahrain, and Thailand,
promising a week-long celebration of fine cuisine and exceptional wines.
A notable feature of this year's festival is the inclusion of some
visiting chefs who will extend their culinary showcases beyond Bangkok,
bringing their skills to Phuket and Koh Samui. The festival will offer
attendees a diverse array of culinary experiences through dinners,
afternoon tea sessions, and special events hosted by acclaimed chefs.
The participating chefs, collectively boasting an impressive
seventeen Michelin stars and multiple awards, hail from esteemed
establishments worldwide. Notable names include Thomas Bühner from
Germany, Jordi Artal from Spain, Kiko Moya Redrado from Spain, Toshiharu
Sunayama from Japan, Jimmy Lim from Taiwan, Daniele Lippi from Italy,
and others.
Throughout the festival, these celebrated chefs will showcase their
culinary creations in various venues within the Anantara Siam Bangkok
Hotel. The event will also feature a gala dinner on 19 September,
wherein five of the chefs will contribute to a five-course menu in the
hotel's ballroom.
In addition to culinary exhibitions, the festival will offer
educational cooking classes led by distinguished chefs Arne Riehn and
Phol Tantasathien. The festival's commitment to philanthropy remains
intact, as a portion of ticket sales and proceeds from auctions will be
directed towards the Foundation for the Welfare of Rajavithi-Girls’ Home
Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali.
