The recent collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge along Interstate 695 in Baltimore, Maryland on 26 March, has sent shockwaves through the world, and is also affecting upcoming cruises.

"Vessel traffic into and out of the Port of Baltimore is suspended until further notice," announced the Port of Baltimore on social media platforms.

Carnival Cruise Line, has adjusted its itineraries in response to the bridge collapse. Carnival Pride and Carnival Legend, scheduled for April departures, will temporarily relocate to Norfolk, Virginia. Passengers aboard ongoing cruises will disembark in Norfolk, with transportation arranged to return them to Baltimore.

Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas, which departed from Baltimore on 23 March, will now return to Norfolk on 4 April. Subsequent cruises will depart from Norfolk, with compensation provided to affected passengers.

American Cruise Lines, meanwhile, maintains scheduled sailings from Baltimore in May but remains vigilant, ready to adjust plans if necessary.

Norwegian Cruise Line has no Baltimore sailings until September, but the company pledges to stay in communication with port authorities and passengers.
