cruise industry across four destinations in Asia: Korea, the
Philippines, Xiamen, and Hong Kong. Under the theme “The Rebound of
Asia's Destinations,” the event showcased the potential and diverse
offerings of these ports.
Korea: The essence of K-culture
Korea is primed to host the 11th Asia Cruise Forum Jeju, showcasing
its commitment to sustainable growth in the cruise industry. With new
ports in Pohang and Daesan, and a vibrant blend of traditional and
contemporary attractions, Korea offers an enticing blend of K-culture
and rich heritage.
The Philippines: A gem in Southeast Asia
Celebrated as Asia’s Best Cruise Destination, the Philippines is set
to unveil five new cruise ports, including Boracay and Siargao. With
ongoing efforts to uplift existing destinations and explore new cruising
grounds, the Philippines aims to position itself as a premier cruise
hub in the region.
Xiamen: The gateway to maritime Silk Road
Xiamen, known as the “Garden on the Sea”, is poised to launch its
state-of-the-art International Cruise Terminal 2, equipped with smart
technology, promises seamless embarkation and disembarkation experiences
for passengers. Linked to Xiamen Sea World, a bustling entertainment
complex offering upscale dining and cultural attractions, the terminal
serves as a gateway to the city's rich cultural heritage and vibrant
urban life.
Hong Kong: A melting pot of experiences
Hong Kong is poised to offer more onshore experiences for cruisers
with its upcoming Kai Tak Sports Park, adjacent to the Kai Tak Cruise
Terminal, promising world-class sporting events and entertainment for
visitors. Additionally, SKYCITY, located near the Hong Kong
International Airport, offers a plethora of retail, dining, and
entertainment options.
