Royal Caribbean International has announced plans for a new beach club – the Royal Beach Club Cozumel – in Mexico, slated to commence operations in 2026.

Situated along the western coast of Cozumel, the Royal Beach Club Cozumel aims to offer a vacation experience that combines Royal Caribbean's hospitality with elements of Mexican culture. Promising beaches, swim-up bars, private cabanas and a variety of F&B options, including authentic Mexican cuisine, with ocean views, the club seeks to cater to the diverse preferences of its clientele.

From poolside lounging to aquatic activities such as snorkelling and kayaking, guests can expect various recreational options that extend to the nearby street market and hands-on culinary experiences like tequila tastings and cooking classes.

“The expansion of our destination offerings aligns with the growing global demand for the ultimate vacation experiences and enables our guests to connect with the beauty of local cultures and people in the places they visit,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group.

Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo, welcomes the new beach club, with the anticipation that it will serve “as a new attraction for many of their guests visiting our magical island”, along with being a “modern and sustainable infrastructure” that will help “create local jobs for our people.”

The addition of the new beach club experience marks another milestone in the Royal Caribbean’s expanding array of destinations. Perhaps the most famous among them is Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas, which raised the standard for private islands with a US$250 million transformation in 2019.

With ongoing developments such as the recently unveiled adults-only Hideaway Beach and locations like Labadee, Haiti, Royal Caribbean offers diverse options for vacationers across the Bahamas and the eastern and western Caribbean. Further details regarding Royal Beach Club Cozumel will be disclosed in the coming months, while the Royal Beach Club Collection also encompasses Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, a 17-acre Bahamian beach retreat set to debut on Nassau's Paradise Island in 2025.
