Perth in Western Australia will host the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Global Summit in October 2024, marking the first time the event will visit Oceania.

Previous host countries have included Spain, China, Japan, United States, Argentina and Thailand.

WTTC closed its first-ever Global Summit in Africa last week with more than 1,200 delegates from more than 45 countries attending the event in Kigali, Rwanda.

Julia Simpson, WTTC president & CEO, said, “The success of this year’s Global Summit in Kigali is testament to the power of Africa’s travel and tourism sector. Through Rwanda, the continent has well and truly put itself on the map.”

During the Global Summit in Kigali, WTTC launched its ground-breaking Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging report which tracks DEIB in the travel and tourism sector and highlights effective practices and recommendations for the future.
