As part of Singapore's plan to transition to a new normal, travellers from Taiwan who test negative for Covid-19 on arrival in the city from 7 August can skip quarantine, while fully vaccinated travellers from eight countries can opt to serve stay-home notices (SNH) at home.

In response to an improved situation, the Ministry of Health released a statement on 5 August that travellers have to be in Taiwan for at least 21 days and must take a PCR test upon arrival in Singapore.

If the PCR test returns negative, they will be able to go about their activities freely and need not serve the 14-day SHN.

Air Travel Passes have also been reinstated for short-term visitors entering Singapore on or after 12 August.

On 6 August, Singapore further announced that from 20 August 11.59pm, fully vaccinated travellers flying in from eight countries can apply to opt out of dedicated facilities, serving their SHN at their residence instead.

These countries are Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, Norway, South Korea, and Switzerland.

The Singapore government recognises vaccination regimens under the World Health Organisation’s Emergency Use Listing, including Pfizer-BioNTech/ Comirnaty, Moderna, Sinovac-Coronavc, Sinopharm and AstraZeneca's vaccines.

From 10 August, Singapore will allow dining-in at F&B outlets to resume, but only for fully vaccinated people in up to groups of five. As well, the current group size for social gatherings will also be increased from two to five from 10 August.

Meanwhile, green light has been given for MICE events, live performances and spectator sports to take place with up to 1,000 attendees from 19 August if all are fully vaccinated.

As well, the current group size for social gatherings will also be increased from two to five from 10 August.
