As spring approaches, travellers across the Asia-Pacific region are
preparing for the annual cherry blossom season, expected to peak from
late March to early April. Booking data from Klook indicates a increase
in travel to North Asia, particularly Japan, where cherry blossoms are
abundant.
A survey by Klook reveals that a significant 87% of APAC travellers
are planning dedicated trips to witness the cherry blossoms in full
bloom. Most of these travellers are planning their journeys up to three
months in advance, with an average stay of two weeks at their chosen
destinations.
Japan stands out as their favourite destination to view the pink
blossoms, capturing the interest of 76% of surveyed travellers. However,
many enthusiasts express a desire to explore multiple cities within
their chosen destination, willing to venture up to 60 minutes away from
urban centres to find specific viewing spots.
Outdoor activities such as nature walks, picnics, and festivals are
popular among cherry blossom travellers. From road trips to boat tours,
travellers seek diverse experiences to appreciate the blossoms fully.
Family emerges as the preferred company for this floral excursion,
with travellers eager to share the experience with loved ones.
Additionally, social media platforms play a significant role in
inspiring and guiding travellers in their cherry blossom adventures.
