Tourism Tasmania is blending the cutting-edge technology of AI with traditional artistry through its new initiative, TasmanAi. Instead of simply generating pictures purely through a computer, people can send in their ideas, and real artists from Tasmania will turn them into actual paintings.
This isn't like other AI art that's instant; TasmanAi is about taking time and care to make something special and real. TasmanAi allows individuals to submit visual prompts, which nine Tasmanian artists will choose from to bring to life, encapsulating iconic Tasmanian vistas into unique pieces of art.
Individuals whose prompts are chosen by local artists will receive the original artwork by mail.
The idea is to show off what's unique about Tasmania, like its creativity and beautiful scenery, in a new and exciting way. It allows travellers who might want to visit Tasmania connect with the island's rich cultural identity.
Tasmania's vibrant arts scene, highlighted by the high visitor engagement in local museums, galleries, and crafts, serves as the perfect backdrop for this groundbreaking project.
