After more than two years, Silversea Cruises finally celebrated its return to Australian waters with a 10-day voyage of the Kimberley coast that departed Darwin on Saturday, 4 June.

Silversea had resumed cruising in June 2021, and since then has been successfully welcoming guests from all around the world. Now, according to Adam Radwanski, Silversea managing director for Asia-Pacific, the cruise line looks forward to taking guests on a luxury expedition while “unlocking the breathtaking natural wonders of the Kimberley region, where few people have been.”

The Silver Explorer’s current 2022 Australian season comprises eight voyages in the Kimberley region. A team of expedition experts — including marine biologists, ornithologists, naturalists, and other specialists— will be onboard sharing their knowledge with guests and leading shore excursions.

Included experiences range from a Zodiac trip to the 80m twin waterfalls at King George Falls to an introduction to Aboriginal rock art, which dates back more than 50,000 years. Guests will also be able to feast their eyes on the striped sandstone towers of the Bundle Bungle ranges in Wyndham, and visit the Hunter River region, the Buccaneer Archipelago, Adele Island and King George River, before arriving back in Darwin.

These eight sailings on Silver Explorer are almost sold out for 2022, but Silversea will deploy the Silver Muse in early December this year for Australian sailings, followed by the Silver ShadowSM departing Sydney for its 2023 world cruise in early January.
