Hilton has named industry veteran Rupert Hallam as the new general manager for Hilton Singapore Orchard, its largest property in the Asia Pacific region.

Bringing over three decades of experience, including 21 years at Hilton and a 5-year tenure as the general manager of Hilton Adelaide, Hallam steps into this role as the hotel approaches its second year in full operation amid Singapore’s anticipated tourism rebound in 2024.

Succeeding Cedric Nubul, Hallam's leadership will guide a team of over 490 professionals, focusing on further growth and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

"Having experienced working in Singapore during my time with Hilton, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to not only return to a city that I see as a gateway to the world, but to also have the privilege of leading this brand-defining property for Hilton,” Hallam commented.

As general manager, Hallam will oversee operations, managing 1,080 rooms, five dining venues, and extensive event spaces, aiming to solidify the property’s status as a landmark destination for Hilton in Singapore and the region. Supported by hotel manager Linda Reddy, he aims to reinforce existing programmes while driving the hotel's prominence in the industry.
