Royal Caribbean has named Diane Chiang as its new APAC sales director, a strategic move signalling the cruise line's dedication to expanding its presence across Asia Pacific by opening up distribution and welcoming more travel partners to grow the business in the region.
In her role, Diane will spearhead the sales team, not only driving Royal Caribbean's business in Singapore but also extending efforts across the entire region.
“There is tremendous potential in the Asia Pacific region for the cruise industry, and Diane is well-placed to help Royal Caribbean expand our growth,” said Angie Stephen, vice president and managing director, Asia-Pacific, Royal Caribbean International. “Diane and the wider sales team will build on our strong relationships with the trade industry as well as welcome new partnership opportunities, including online and social platforms to reach the new audiences which will be critical into tapping this demand.”
Diane has been with the organization since 2007, initially as a business analyst in the Finance team, later assuming the role of Revenue Manager. In this capacity, she concentrated on commercial business strategy and growth opportunities.
Notably, during the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Diane played a pivotal role in collaborating with local government authorities and Royal Caribbean's global operations team to plan and execute the safe resumption of cruise operations in Singapore.
