Regent Seven Seas Cruises has welcomed Steve Odell back into the fold
with his appointment as the cruise line’s chief sales officer.
Odell will be based in Miami, and report directly to Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Odell previously worked for seven years with Regent as senior vice president and managing director of the Asia Pacific region.
“[Steve’s] insight, knowledge and contacts within the luxury travel
space will continue to allow us to position Regent for long-term
success,” said DeMarco.
Odell said it was an exciting time for the brand having just launched the sixth ship, Seven Seas Grandeur.
“The growth of the Regent fleet represents a tremendous opportunity
for our fantastic travel advisors around the world and I look forward to
growing our luxury cruise business together,” he said.
Odell joined Regent in October 2015 to spearhead the launch of the
company’s Asia Pacific business across all three Norwegian Cruise Line
Holdings’ brands. In 2019, Odell transitioned to focus on the strategic
expansion, vision and continued growth of the company’s presence in the
Asia Pacific market.
Under Odell's leadership in Asia Pacific, Regent Seven Seas Cruises was named the top luxury cruise line in Travel Weekly Asia Readers' Choice Awards 2022.
Before joining NCLH, Odell worked in executive positions with Royal
Viking Line and Celebrity Cruises in the UK before moving to Sydney as
VP sales and marketing Asia Pacific for Silversea Cruises.
He later returned to London with Silversea Cruises, then moving to
Monaco to head Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific operations.
Last year, Odell was inducted into Cruise Lines Industry Australasia’s (CLIA) Hall of Fame.
