After a long delay due to Covid-19, the first-ever Harry Potter flagship store has finally opened its doors in New York City.

Spanning three floors and nearly 2,000sqm, the new store is home to the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise in the muggle world.

The store features 15 different themed areas, each of which are carefully designed to bring the magic of Harry Potter Wizarding World to life. On display are over 1,000 props, including some authentic items used in the movie.

Upon entering the store, customers will be greeted by a giant model of Fawkes the Phoenix gazing from the ceiling, while a statue of a Griffin stands guard in the main atrium.

Inside the store, the London phone box and Hagrid's boots allow visitors to pose pictures in, and an interactive wand table allows visitors to try their hand at conjuring magic with a wand.

Customers can also personalise items, including engraving a wand, embossing a journal or embroidering a House robe — Griffydor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin — with their name.

Later this year, two art virtual reality experiences will be launched, including riding a broomstick down the River Thames.

The store is located at 935 Broadway next to the famous Flatiron building.
