Asia’s first Palazzo Versace hotel, the Palazzo Versace Macau, was
unveiled at Grand Lisboa Palace Macau Resort on 23 March 2024, in a
star-studded grand opening ceremony.
Echoing the success of its Dubai counterpart launched in 2016, the
hotel offers a fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, inviting guests
to indulge in the essence of la dolce vita (the sweet life) while
honouring the rich heritage of Italy and Macau.
The Palazzo Versace Macau at SJM’s Grand Lisboa Palace offers 271
luxurious suites across 12 floors, embodying palatial Italian elegance.
Guests can dine at two authentic Italian restaurants, relax at the
luxurious spa, and enjoy indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Versace Home
furnishings and meticulous attention to detail enhance the opulent
atmosphere, while versatile event spaces cater to memorable celebrations
of any size.
The ceremony was graced by Versace's global brand ambassador Rosy
Zhao, model Chrissy Teigen, Taiwanese actor Austin Lin, Korean actress
Shin Hye-sun, rapper Ok Taec-yeon, and Thai actor Blue Pongtiwat
Tangwanchareon. Leading the festivities were Donatella Versace herself,
joined by Daisy Ho, managing director of SJM Resorts.

The evening featured extravagant displays and captivating
performances. A golden dragon sculpture graced the outdoor pool area,
while guests enjoyed music by harpist Dan Yu and the Macau Orchestra.
They then explored the Versace Signatures exhibition before indulging in
a sumptuous Chinese banquet and a surprise performance by John Legend.
“I am delighted to celebrate the opening of this truly beautiful
Palazzo Versace here in Macau with an amazing performance by the
incredible John Legend. It is wonderful to bring together so many
friends for such a special event to mark the opening,” said Donatella
Versace. “I know that Palazzo Versace will continue this warm welcome
for every guest who comes to visit for many years to come.”
