M&C Asia’s assistant editor, Cheryl Teo, has received
well-deserved recognition for her exceptional contributions to travel
journalism at the CWT Business Travel Journalism Awards (BTJAs) 2023.
Teo earned the title of Features Journalist of the Year Destination
for her insightful coverage of South Korea’s MICE offerings. Her
in-depth exploration highlighted how Seoul and various provinces
collaborated to captivate MICE travellers with the quintessential Korean
hospitality.
The BTJAs 2023 also celebrated four Northstar Travel Group
journalists. Alongside Teo, M&IT editor Paul Harvey was honoured as
Columnist of the Year. BTN Europe secured two awards, with editor Andy
Hoskins winning Editor of the Year and Amon Cohen claiming Features
Journalist of the Year Sustainability. Cohen's winning piece delved into
the impact of existing and impending EU regulations on the future of
travel.
A record number of Northstar Travel Group’s editors and journalists received nominations for this prestigious annual award.
Curated and administered by global business travel and meetings
solutions provider CWT, the BTJAs acknowledge outstanding contributions
to business travel, meetings, and events journalism. Winners are
selected by an expert judging panel comprising business travel and
meetings managers, industry experts, and respected editors. This year
marked the 20th edition of BTJAs.
Congratulations to all the winners of BTJAs!
