Macao's historic Red Market, having undergone a 24-month renovation, is poised to reopen in June with a host of enhancements.

Originally built in the 1930s, the market, famed for its distinctive red bricks, has received extensive upgrades including reinforced structure, improved facilities, and new features like air-conditioning and barrier-free lifts.

The Municipal Affairs Bureau announced that vendors will be invited to tour the renovated market soon, with expectations of moving in by May. The revitalised Red Market, situated in the bustling St. Anthony District, will accommodate nearly 130 vendors.

Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and variety of Chinese cuisine products, the market is a treasure trove for food enthusiasts. Visitors can explore three floors of bustling stalls selling everything from fresh seafood to meats and vegetables.

The Red Market not only provides access to fresh ingredients and cooked dishes but also offers insights into Macao's diverse culture and lifestyle. With its rich history and bustling ambiance, the market remains a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike, offering an authentic taste of Macao's culinary scene and local life.
