India's Ministry of Tourism has unveiled an ambitious wedding tourism
campaign, aiming to showcase the nation as a global wedding destination
of choice. The campaign seeks to tap into India's vast wedding industry
potential, inviting couples worldwide to make their special day
unforgettable by celebrating it against India's diverse cultural
backdrop.
Shri G. Kishan Reddy, union minister for culture, tourism and DoNER,
inaugurated the campaign by extending a warm invitation to couples
across the globe. He stressed the campaign's comprehensive approach,
assuring that every aspect of a couple's journey, from the initial
introduction to the final vows, would resonate with India's rich
heritage and welcoming spirit.
Central to the campaign is an exploration of about 25 key
destinations within India. This insightful curation seamlessly aligns
each couple's wedding aspirations with India's myriad offerings, from
awe-inspiring landscapes to cherished traditions and modern
infrastructure. The campaign extends an invitation to couples to
exchange vows in settings that transcend imagination.
A collaborative endeavor, the campaign incorporates insights from
industry experts, associations, and wedding planners, shaping a
narrative spotlighting India's wedding tourism potential, diverse
appeal, and cultural richness.
Employing a 360-degree approach, the campaign will leverage digital
marketing, social media, partnerships with wedding planners,
collaborations with influencers, and a range of offline and online
activations. The campaign endeavours to redefine India's wedding
landscape, showcasing themes like Beach, Nature, Royal, and Himalayan
weddings, allowing couples to create their dream celebrations within
India's captivating embrace.
