Dubai is rolling out a game-changer for Indian tourists with the introduction of a five-year multiple entry visa.
Recognising India as a crucial source market for tourism, the emirate aims to streamline the travel process for Indians. They constituted 2.5 million international arrivals among Dubai's 17.15 million overnight visitors in 2023 — a 27% increase from pre-pandemic levels and a 39% surge from 2022.
The new visa permits a 90-day stay, extendable once to a maximum of 180 days within a year. Processing takes two to five business days, requiring essentials like a passport with six months' validity, bank statements reflecting at least INR 330,000 (US$3,980), health insurance, return flight tickets, and a passport photo.
In addition to the five-year visa, Dubai continues to enhance the travel experience, with initiatives like Emirates Airline's pre-approved visa-on-arrival service, facilitating seamless entry for Indian passport holders with specific international visas.
