Christine Choo has assumed the role of general manager at Paradox Singapore Merchant Court, spearheading the overall strategic executive management and operations of the 476-room hotel in the vibrant precinct of Clarke Quay along the historic Singapore riverbank.

An accomplished hotelier with over 10 years in the luxury hospitality industry, Choo has honed her expertise in operating resorts and hotels in destination-centric Singapore locations since 2011.

Choo’s most recent role as the area general manager (Sentosa cluster) at Far East Hospitality Singapore solidified her reputation as a dynamic and results-driven leader. Throughout her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping the success of distinguished establishments, including Resorts World Sentosa and Village Hotel Sentosa.

Choo elaborated on her motivation for joining Paradox, citing her confidence in the brand's regional growth goals, her enthusiasm to actively contribute to shaping a developing brand, and her keen interest in revitalising the hotel property, particularly within the context of the Clarke Quay precinct's redevelopment plans.

“I am delighted to come onboard at a most exciting time of Paradox Singapore Merchant Court where I get to reinforce the brand ethos to imbue hidden, authentic spirit of Canadian hospitality, and our very own diverse, dual-natured personas. At heart of it all, to curate tasteful, brilliantly designed experiences that remains approachable, witty, and profoundly clever for all our guests,” said Choo.

A Singapore native, Choo embarked on her academic journey with an International Higher Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from SHATEC Singapore. She followed this with a bachelor's degree in marketing and eCommerce from Edith Cowan University and continued her education with an Advanced Management Programme from Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management, further refining her skills in the hospitality field.
